At present, there are mainly KGPS parallel thyristor power supply, KGCL series thyristor power supply, and IGBT module power supply in China. These three power supply devices have their own advantages and disadvantages. Users should comprehensively compare and select the most suitable power supply for their own production conditions according to their own actual conditions, so as to achieve the best results with limited costs.

Both KGPS and KGCL belong to thyristor power supply (thyristor intermediate frequency power supply), which is a static frequency conversion device, which uses thyristor components to convert power frequency three-phase AC power into intermediate frequency single-phase AC power. They are widely applied in medium frequency induction heating, medium frequency induction melting and other occasions that require medium frequency power supply.  

   KGPS intermediate frequency power supply is the first generation of thyristor intermediate frequency power supply, also known as parallel intermediate frequency power supply, which was first popularized and has relatively stable performance.

KGCL intermediate frequency power supply is the second-generation thyristor intermediate frequency power supply. The series inverter adopts a half-bridge circuit, the number of main circuit components is relatively reduced, and it has a high power factor. During the melting process, it can always keep running in full power even when its load and temperature changed, resulting in shorter melting times. Since for its excellent energy-saving effect , it has been greatly popularized in recent years.

The IGBT power supply is a series resonance power supply device, and its inverter device is a new type of IGBT module. Most of the frequency of IGBT intermediate frequency power supply is above 10KHZ. Because of its high frequency, its power cannot be made as large as that of thyristor intermediate frequency power supply. At present, it is mainly used in induction surface quenching, diathermy, and heat treatment of steel materials. Preheating of copper and aluminum alloys, and smelting of precious metals. Same as thyristor KGCL intermediate frequency power supply, it has the advantages of fast melting speed, energy saving, and low harmonic pollution.
